About Spencer

Here are some things you should know about Spencer:

• Spencer's current favorite toys to play with are cars, planes, and Legos.  He loves to play board games with anyone who will play with him.  Spencer also likes sports.  He played on soccer and basketball teams for the first time this year and loves to run short Kid's Races.

• Spencer was incredibly excited to start half-day kindergarten last fall.  He is a good listener and does very well with his school work.  He is an especially good reader and is currently reading on a 2nd grade level.  Spencer says that his favorite parts of school are recess and writing.  

• Spencer is calm and reserved.  He usually doesn't talk to people he doesn't know well, especially when his Mom or Dad are around.  He isn't shy at all in school or in his class at Church though.  One of Spencer's best traits is his determination to stand up for his convictions.  He is not easily swayed by other people's opinions.  That can sometimes be frustrating for his parents, but his strength of character will help him withstand peer pressure as he gets older.

• Spencer loves being around other kids.  That's probably the biggest reason he loves school.  We invite friends over to play often and Spencer gets along well with almost everyone.  He loves to play with kids his own age, but can also be sweet and helpful with little ones.  He is going to be a great big brother one day!
